For clients paying out-of-pocket, payment for psychotherapy session services is required in full by cash, check, or IvyPay at the time of the service. All co-payments are also due at the time of service, and it is my policy to have a credit/debit card on file. When you must cancel, please give me 24 hours’ notice. If you are unable to provide 24 hours’ notice when you cancel, you will be charged the full fee for your session unless I am able to fill it with another client, or we are able to reschedule within the same week. Rescheduling our appointment requires both an arrangement of time and space availability. Please note that in case of a personal emergency, I may waive this fee.
Psychotherapy services are reimbursable through some insurance providers through out-of-network coverage. In advance of our session, you should contact your provider and ask about mental health benefits, including number of sessions allowed, reimbursement policies and percentage, and approval requirements (if any). At the end of each month, I will provide an invoice that can be used to file a claim with your provider. We can also discuss a sliding scale fee, if needed.
To preserve client confidentiality, I do not interact with clients on social media, including LinkedIn. In addition, other than for non-substantive scheduling purposes, I do not email with clients. These measures ensure that our relationship and the information that you impart to me, remains confidential.
